The Championship season opener is fast appproaching !

Hello everyone
The Championship season opener is fast appproaching ! Just 41 days to go !
We start the season at Brands Hatch Indy on Saturday 27th April for a one day meeting with the MG Car Club.
We have two 15 minute races and a 15 minute qualifying, all on the Saturday, giving us all the ideal start for the year as we awake from our winter break.
We also have garage space included in the entry. The garages will be available after Friday general testing is finished.
The Hscc are sending out regs on email to competitors, please contact the Hscc office if you have not received them.
The cost for the meeting is £395.

The Championship Classes for this season are :

  • A Class for for full race 1700cc engines control cam
  • B Class for Formula Ford engines
  • C Class for Pre 1972 cars up to 1600cc
  • Sports 2000 cars Pre 1984

For 2020 season there will be a full Championship Class for Sports 1600 cars (Rover engines) up to 1996.
With several drivers already showing interest we will be awarding trophies to Sports 1600 this season on a race by race basis.
With many of the early cars no longer competing regularly, the HSCC Championship will provide the ideal place for these period cars to again enter some high profile race meetings and start the next chapter of Classic Clubmans racing.

In line with other HSCC Championships we are encouraging drivers to come out and join us for a race or two in the Invitation Class. This is available to Clubmans type cars sporting period bodywork with mudguards and ‘H’ pattern 4 speed gearboxes. Control tyres and control camshafts (A Class) would not be required. Invitation Class decals will be provided to help with on track identification.
With much pre season interest and a busy Stoneleigh show, hopefully we can field a good grid at the MG Brands Indy meeting and start our Hscc championship in style.

See you all there,
Regards Mike Sales
