CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLUBMANS RACERS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE GEOFF FRISWELL TROPHY RACE- 31st October – 1st November at Silverstone. This was the race for Clubmans cars at the HSCC Walter Hayes Meeting.
Classic Clubmans Rob Manson, 2nd from the right, was overall winner with Phil Hart, far left, winning B class. The weather was unseasonably spectacular so all in all a very successful week-end!!
This event included modern Clubmans Register cars as well as the HSCC Classic Clubmans cars. The winner of this event Rob Manson was awarded the new HSCC GEOFF FRISWELL TROPHY. Geoff, in his Mallock, was a dominant force in 70’s Clubmans, winning the Championship in 1972 and 1975 and scoring 49 Clubmans wins. With the support of all Clubmans cars it is hoped this can be an annual event and a fitting finale for our racing seasons.
