This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the HSCC which follows last years 50th celebration of Clubmans racing.
With such milestones it feels appropriate to feature and promote our Pre-1972 class. The many varied and interesting chassis that competed in both 1lt and 1600cc classes would really enhance our grids.
The focus this season is at our two Snetterton races in June where we are part of the excellent Autosport 3hours meeting.
For this season the new Pre-1972 Trophy will be awarded to the Aggregate winning ‘C’ class car at these two races.
The Pre-1972 class is open at any of our HSCC Championship meetings and a few cars do occasionally come out and join us,.
We hope showcasing these wonderful historic Classic Clubmans cars at Snetterton in this Anniversary year will establish the class with the HSCC Championship
There are many of these under appreciated historic cars in existence including Mallocks through to the MK11, early Gryphons and all the smaller marques such as Dino, Hustler, Centaur and Ladybird to name just a few.
Lets hope Snetterton is the start of renewed interest in these undervalued historic Classic Clubmans cars.
