Barry Webb in his Delapena Mallock MK16 had a very successful weekend at our HSCC championship round at the Wolds meeting at Cadwell Park on the weekend of the 18th/19th June. He finished 1st in B class in both races, fighting off robust challenges from the rest of the pack.
Despite low grid numbers our races provided superb entertainment – particularly race 2 where there was dicing throughout with Mark Charteris in his championship winning Mallock MK21 breaking the lap record for our formula and coming in just 2 seconds shy of the outright circuit record!!
We all enjoyed a great weekend with a social night on the Saturday complete with the ‘HORSESHOE CHALLENGE ‘ fiercely contested by the boy’s team versus the girl’s team ( noteable ‘girls’ Mike Sales, Barry Webb and Bill Mallett) – score 2-1 to the boys so gender bending all in vain!!
